Anyone out there own a phenom?
Shrek will be ordering one for me once our taxes come in. I was just curious as to your experiences, what you like/dislike, what mods, improvements you'd make?
From what I read it seems like a pretty sweet gun, but I value your opinions.
Thanks in advance, see you on sat!

I have had a Phenom for close to a year now, and i LOVE it. Tens of thousands of rounds through it and never had a single issue. The same can be said for my A5's as well. I have two friends who also got Phenoms and they feel the same. Just clean and grease as recomended and you will love it! I hope to make it down on Saturday as well. Mine has the flatline on it right now and a stock, and i have a Mag conversion kit ordered. Other then that its all stock.

Thanks! I am pretty stoked to order it. Initially I would also like to get a stock and perhaps a foregrip.
Is there much of a difference between the stock barrel and the flatline? (I am pretty new to this all, please excuse any stupid questions!
Were it not for my wife's practicality on the budget, my kids would be eating ramen and I would be rockin a new gun this weekend!

Ha ha, i eat ramen so i can play! I think the stock phenom barrel is so so, but most after market barrels will give you some improvment. The flatline is great, adds some distance but that dont mean the balls will break when they get there due to slow speed. BUT the sound of the flatline scares some players . I found i need somewhat higher quality paint to maintain accurate flight. but that would be true of any barrel. I also have some lapco and apex barrels they all do good. But flatline is my fav. Get a gun you like, play and have fun. thats the most important i think. then upgrade as you learn and see things you want. Just my two cents.

I would recommend getting a barrel kit for best accuracy and if you want the added range, stick an apex tip on it. The nice thing about the apex is that it can be turned on and off as well as you can use cheap paint because it is not as rough on the paintballs as the flatline is.

I would agree, the flatline is tough (picky) on paint. Im saving for a barrel kit myself. So many toys, so little money to buy them with
