Well, patience finally paid off. Today a golf cart was given to me. I am in the process of stripping it down. Its an older electric cart with dead batteries. I'm in the process of stripping it down. From the looks of it, it will be more cost effective to convert it to a gas powered cart. If I can get it converted, I have planned to build it into a mini tank:

Here is the motor for the cart, its in an older artic cat snowmobile. The engine is frozen but it should be an easy fix. The motor is 340cc. Spent all morning working on the engine, pulled it apart and worked the engine free. Got it put back together and with a little fresh fuel, got it to fire for a few seconds. Now to pull it out of the sled and then get back to work pulling apart the cart.

Could not sleep so I worked into today on the drive system. I'm finally about to go to bed so here is an update on what is done. Cut away on the motor drive shaft even more to get to the bare shaft. Ground down shaft to fit new bearing assembly from lower final snowmobile drive. Still got to grind down on the shaft another 3/4". If any of you have seen a snowmobile and how the drive system works, imagine this: Its essentially identical in function except the back drive pulley floats with the axle and mounts above the electric motor. From the drive pulley, there is the disk brake and a gear box that drops down to drive the cogs that turns the track. Where the drive cogs where normally be, instead there is the modified motor drive shaft that connects to the axle. Animation hereWhere that cog is spinning turning the track, the modified motor shaft is which bolts to the drive shaft. The "secondary clutch" (drive pulley), instead of being in a fixed position, will float with the axle.

I think its Looking Good. Do you have any plans to lift it for more clearance? or change the suspension? What are you ideas for a gunner position?

The only lift it would be able to handle is bigger tires, at lease for the rear, its because of clearance issues with the drive pulley.
So far I am planning on keeping it as small as possible, gunner will be next to driver, possible a raised turret but not sure.
I want to keep as small as possible to avoid rockets.
