Since I have gotten tired of painting my guns just to have it wear off after a few games, I decided to do the powder coat thing. I just did a basic paint strip and powder coating in OD and will have to give it another coating during the day when I can better see what I missed. Here is one side of my 98C:

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I was wondering do you have a shop to powder coat or just use stuff at home. Cause I'm wondering how i can do it at home using the oven, UV lights or what ever.
So I guess what tools are you using to powder coat.
and if you want to put a second color on top do you just cure the first coat then do the second... I really don't know much about powder coating. but I don't want to waste my time painting to have it rub off. especially if i do an awesome job.

It takes a lot of prepping to get a good coat, my mistake when first powder coating was not prepping the gun properly. It still turned out alright and its been really durable. I'll have my 98C at the next game so you can see it if you want.
The tools include the powder coating gun, an oven strictly for powder coating (can't be used for food after wards unless there is a lot of cleaning).
The powder if put on the gun by an electrical charge so bare metal that can conduct a current is necessary. I've been told you can powder coat multiple layers but you must make sure the powder is the same kind (not necessarily same color) and cure specs. Generally, for putting on another coat, you preheat the metal so the other coat will adhere better.
Generally to cure the powder coat, you bake at 385* for 18 minutes after flow out.
