i managed to do the impossible, i got fired... from the cannery. reasons being poor attendance, because i haven't been calling in every Wednesday night to see if im on schedule. tough luck for them cause I'm a student, and cant work during the weekdays, something that they knew. one note that i was late (clocked in at 3:02, shift started at 3, was stuck behind some POS train) one time because i was unavailable for work. and 2 times noted for me getting sick standing at the line. repetitive motion got me sick twice out of 2 weeks of work.
i dont know, maybe its a good thing. Now at least i got some motivation to get another job, a better job, like at a fast food restaurant that will work me during the school year and summer. according to my old supervisor at the cannery i would make more money working at one of those places anyway.
so until i find a job, i doubt my parents will let me go paint balling, or get on the computer, or leave the hosue for anything other then trying to get a new job. wish i would have quit there instead of getting fired.

How long did you work there? You should be able to get unemployment if you were fired. They give it to you then but frown on you quiting a job. Go figure. Something to check into though.

If you don't like repetitive stuff very much try getting a job at a small retail or food shop. When I worked at the corvallis petco everyone was trained for everything so you didn't get stuck running a cash register or something for your entire work period.

No offense, but if I'm reading correctly thats being late 4 times in 2 weeks. If so sorry dude but nobody can get by with that in the working world. My best advice would be #1 leave for work a little earlier. Better to get there a bit earlier and look like you want the job than show up late. If I'm misreading your post sorry. If not as a member of the work force for many years I think that when someone isn't there to do there job I have to carry there load. Believe me life only gets more skrewed up.

yeah, i know what ur saying skinner. and i knew that if i was late and did have grounds for termination from my record there. but i was just saying that it sucked. I may have a job at Burton's restaurant in ... its either Albany or Corvallis don't know. but it'd be a steady job being a bus boy. or washing dishes.
