So as some of you know one of the eye covers on my FX broke off at SG45. After inspecting the damage it looks like the countersunk hole for the screw that holds it on broke. I called DP and they said that they don't warranty removable parts and that the eye covers only break when they are over tightened. I thought this was a ridiculous response as specially since every other PB company I have ever contacted has just sent parts to fix my problems free of charge. A new eye cover is $25 + Shipping, and since I wasn't willing to buy a new cover just for it to break again I figured out how to fix it permanently. Things you need: Blue lock tight 2 #3-56 x 3/8 SS screws 6 #4 1/8th ID washers Broken Cover Screws Very Small.... All Locktighted and good to go ( All in all it cost me $17 dollars for locktight, 100 screws and 100 washers so if you know anyone with this problem let me know and Ill hook them up. (Beats $25 + shipping and I have enough for friends ;-)

I forgot to mention that you need to make sure the screws dont go in deep enough to touch the bolt.
Just do the mod with the bolt removed and look down the chamber befor you locktight them in. If they are going thru into the bolt chamber just add another washer.

MacGyver! I'm sure someone will be using this fix. I've already popped one of those covers myself. Thanks for sharing!
